TheSpeedGamers icon

This is an icon to help support a community that I love and support very much, TheSpeedGamers [link] . For those of you who are unaware of them, they are a group of people who do speedruns through games and stream it live for the purpose of trying to collect money for charities. They've also raised thousands of dollars helping charities through this (I'm thinking the grand total has to be over $100,000 $300,000...according to ...now for how much they raise). They are a group who is using gaming for great causes and even better is how well they succeed and how much they raise. They also do a variety of marathons. Some of the marathon series I've personally been able to catch a good amount of were: Pokémon, Earthbound/Mother, Mario, Legend of Zelda, and Final Fantasy (which was a record breaking marathon for them on many levels) and most recently was Star Wars. And for these series they go through every game from beginning to end with no special tricks or cheats to shortcut through each of these games in a mere weekend (except the last two were week-long marathons). It is a great community and I happily support them.

For those curious, at the time of uploading, their next marathon will be in December for a new Legend of Zelda marathon. You can check their website for more details and enjoy it because they make it a lot of fun by hosting a bunch of things on the side as well.
